General Guidelines
  1. Your vehicle must be operable.  If it is not, additional fees may apply.

  2. Any modifications – a lift kit, camper shell, lowering kit, etc. – can change the way we transport your vehicle. Please let us know about any alterations.

  3. If your vehicle is over 7’ tall, additional measures will be required.

  4. Your vehicle must have at least 4” of ground clearance to be safely loaded and unloaded from the truck.

  5. Your vehicle must not have any obvious fluid leaks.
Please provide a phone number where you can be reached promptly during the transport of your vehicle.

Preparing Your Car for Shipment
  1. Your battery must be secure in its mounting bracket.

  2. The vehicle must be clean for inspection.  A dirty vehicle decreases the ability to perform a quality inspection.

  3. The gas tank must have a minimum of (1/8) tank of fuel, but no more than (1/4) tank of fuel.

  4. All alarm systems must be disconnected, disabled, or turned off.

  5. Radios, cassette decks or CD players not built in, car phones and garage door openers must be removed.

  6. All antennas must be fully retracted or removed.

  7. All personal belongings must be removed.

  8. All exterior spare tire covers, grill covers, or car covers must be removed.

  9. Plants and hazardous materials are forbidden by law to be transported.

  10. One set of keys for the vehicle must be provided.

  11. Luggage, bike or ski racks, must be removed.

Vehicle Inspection Requirements

  1. Someone must be present for the inspection at both pick-up and delivery.

  2. You (or someone authorized by you) must sign the bill of lading and condition report at both origin and destination.

  3. You (or someone authorized by you) must confirm the vehicle's condition.  This must be done before the carrier leaves.

  4. Pre-existing damage will be noted by our representative on the bill of lading. In the unlikely event there is additional damage on delivery, it will be noted by our representative on the bill of lading.

No firearms, hazardous materials, illegal substances or contraband may be placed in the vehicle. Not only are auto transport companies not insured for household goods, it is against the law for them to transport anything except your vehicle.

The auto transport truck is subject to inspection by the DOT and the police at every state line and can be fined up to $10,000 if found to be carrying household goods. The car is subject to being impounded and all fines and expenses will be passed along to the owner of the car.
